The cottage is delightful.  We loved the sunny rooms, the comfortable furnishings and the location.  It was so easy to stroll into the village centre and we loved the shops, cafes and restaurants there.  We especially recommend The Angel for good food and a great atmosphere.  We had many day trips out, but the highlights were definitely Housesteads on the Roman Wall on a bright sunny day.  We will never forget the views and the wide open spaces in Northumberland - we will certainly be back !
